Aluminium saver and tie rod upgrade for CC-02 chassis

The kit upgrades the factory plastic servo saver and steering rods on Tamiya CC-02 chassis with aluminium parts to handle increased steering loads and retain consistent geometry. At the core is a 25T servo-spline saver body paired with aluminium threaded tie rods, intended as a direct replacement for the original steering linkages on CC-02 layouts.

Installation follows standard RC practices: remove the original saver and rods, press the aluminium saver onto the servo spline, secure the tie rods to the servo horn and knuckles, then adjust rod length and servo horn position to set toe and centring. Use thread locker on steel-to-aluminium fasteners where necessary and avoid overtightening to protect component threads.

In setup and tuning the aluminium assembly helps stabilise steering input and reduce mechanical play when used with higher-torque servos. It is a scale upgrade aimed at improving steering consistency and making geometry adjustments simpler during maintenance or repairs.

Yes. The parts are designed for direct fitment into CC-02 steering assemblies, replacing the stock plastic servo saver and tie rods.
Applying a medium-strength thread locker to steel-to-aluminium fasteners is recommended to prevent loosening, but avoid using excessive amounts that could complicate future disassembly.
