DT-03 rear shock tower, aluminium replacement

This aluminium rear shock tower is supplied as a direct RC-scale replacement for the Tamiya DT-03 chassis. The machined metal tower replaces the stock plastic mounting point to reduce flex where the shocks attach, helping to stabilise rear suspension responses. The light blue colour is chosen to complement tuned DT-03 builds.

Fitting is straightforward for anyone used to working on the DT-03 rear end: remove the original tower, move the shocks and hardware across, and locate the aluminium tower onto the factory mounting points. Run the car briefly and retorque fasteners to confirm the tower is solidly fixed to the chassis.

From a setup perspective the aluminium tower increases rear-end stiffness and lowers bending under heavy load, which keeps shock geometry more consistent through jumps and hard cornering. Use this part when you need a firmer, more repeatable rear suspension platform for damper and spring tuning.
