This aluminium front upright is supplied as an aftermarket upgrade for TAMIYA Hotshot, Bigwig and Boomerang chassis. Finished in gun metal and machined for a precise fit, it replaces the factory plastic upright to provide a firmer steering mount and improved pivot durability.
The component accepts a 5mm long ball connector used with common Tamiya linkage systems and serves to hold steering links and wheel hubs in proper geometry. It is recommended for restorations or for builders seeking a stiffer steering assembly with less upright flex.
Installation involves removing the original upright and transferring wheel hub and bearings where required. Fit the ball connector to your existing linkage, then verify steering travel and toe settings. Standard hex drivers and regular RC maintenance tools are all that are required for fitting.
Compatibility is restricted to the TAMIYA models listed in the title and is suited to 1/10-scale buggy applications and vintage Tamiya upgrades.
