This aluminum front upright is supplied under part JR-THS01-LB and is intended for use on TAMIYA Hotshot, Bigwig, and Boomerang chassis. It replaces standard plastic uprights to provide a stiffer front suspension mounting while maintaining the original geometry.
The unit features a blue anodized finish and includes a 5mm long ball connector to match setups that use extended ball ends. As an aftermarket upgrade, it increases front-end rigidity and can improve steering consistency during aggressive driving or after complementary front-end upgrades.
Installation: remove the stock upright, transfer any necessary spacers, bushings, or bearings, then install the aluminum upright in the same hub location and secure according to the chassis fastener layout. After fitting, check steering throw and tie-rod alignment to avoid binding and ensure the ball connector orientation is correct relative to the servo and steering arm.
Setup considerations: aluminum uprights reduce hub flex and can alter toe and camber under load. Use JR-THS01-LB when seeking firmer front response and tune shocks and linkages to restore balanced handling.
