Aluminium main drive shaft for TA01/DF01 models

This main drive shaft assembly is made for Tamiya TA01 and DF01 compatible chassis and is finished in gun-metal aluminium. The part transmits rotation through the driveline and is intended for maintenance, repair, and tuning tasks on model transmissions and drive systems.

The aluminium construction gives better dimensional stability and surface durability compared with softer materials. The assembly includes a joint to allow angular movement in the driveline as suspension travel occurs.

Basic installation: remove the original shaft, inspect the mating bearings and hubs, fit the replacement shaft in the same orientation, and secure with the appropriate fasteners. Rotate the drivetrain manually to confirm there is no binding before powering the model.

Maintenance pointers: ensure the shaft layout matches your TA01/DF01 drivetrain, apply a light lubricant suitable for model drivelines to the joint, and recheck fastener torque after the initial run. Regular examination of the joint and adjacent ball bearings will help extend service life and maintain consistent handling.

great to deal with and communication is very good !👍
It is intended as a like-for-like replacement; verify overall length and spline fit against the removed shaft to confirm axle spacing remains unchanged.
The joint can be serviced with light cleaning and lubrication; if worn, replace the joint or the entire shaft assembly to restore correct driveline geometry.
After each run inspect the joint and surrounding ball bearings for dirt and wear, reapply light lubricant as needed, and retorque fasteners after the initial outing.
