This aluminium saver and tie rod kit replaces stock plastic steering components on the Tamiya TT-02 and TT-02B, offering a firmer mechanical connection and improved steering feedback during use.
Configured to engage a 25T servo spline, the assembly pairs a metal saver with anodised adjustable rods to reduce flex and maintain steering geometry under stress.
Install by removing the original saver and linkages, fitting the aluminium saver to the servo output with correct spline alignment, then securing the tie rods to the steering knuckles and servo horn. Check neutral and make fine adjustments to rod length as needed.
Note: this upgrade affects mechanical response rather than electronics; verify servo centring, travel limits and use thread-lock where metal components join to prevent loosening.
